Jenna Ortega is a robotic with a vivid outlook within the trailer for the forthcoming function adaptation of Klara and the Sun.
Ortega and Amy Adams star in director Taika Waititi‘s film that’s set for theatrical launch from Sony Footage on Oct. 23. Waititi and Dahvi Waller co-wrote the script for the movie that adapts creator Kazuo Ishiguro‘s 2021 dystopian sci-fi novel.
Klara and the Solar stars Ortega as Klara, a solar-powered robotic whose objective is to help the lives of the people round her. Mia Tharia, Steve Buscemi and Natasha Lyonne spherical out the forged.
“Glorious sun, please let today be my day,” Ortega says within the trailer. “Let me find a friend.”
Later, Adams warns her, “Consider this a trial period. You’re still under warranty, and I won’t hesitate for a second to send you back.”
Waititi, whose most up-to-date directorial effort was 2023’s Subsequent Purpose Wins, produces Klara and the Solar alongside David Heyman, Jeffrey Clifford, Rosie Alison and Garrett Basch.
The movie’s first footage debuted at CinemaCon in April. “This is a hopeful story about friendship and connection at a time when technology makes us feel so alone,” TriStar Footage president Nicole Brown informed the group.
Ortega’s forthcoming options embody The Gallerist and J.J. Abrams’ The Nice Past. The actress may also return for the third season of Wednesday.
Adams was not too long ago seen in Nightbitch and Disenchanted. Her forthcoming options embody On the Sea and Star Wars: Starfighter. She stars in the latter reverse Ryan Gosling, Matt Smith, Mia Goth and Aaron Pierre.
