There’s a brand new movie advertising and distribution firm available on the market: Aero Films.
The theatrical-first firm, based by Warner Bros. veteran Ryan Pallas, will launch with its first movie acquisition, Steve Pink’s “Terrestrial.”
“Our goal with Aero Films is to curate bold, distinctive films from filmmakers with unique perspectives and to connect them with audiences through innovative marketing and distribution. I am thrilled to be launching with ‘Terrestrial’ as our first film. Steve and the filmmaking team have created an incredible mashup of comedy, suspense, and science fiction that’s unlike anything I’ve seen before. I can’t wait for audiences to experience it.”
Jermaine Fowler, James Morosini, Pauline Chalamet, Edy Modica, Rob Yang and Brendan Hunt star within the darkly comedic sci-fi thriller. Pink (“Grosse Pointe Blank,” “High Fidelity,” “Hot Tub Time Machine”) directs from a screenplay written by Samuel Johnson and Connor Diedrich.
The movie’s longline reads: An extended overdue reunion weekend spirals uncontrolled for 4 school pals. The host, an aspiring science fiction author on the verge of sudden success, fights to take care of his sense of actuality — a battle which turns into more and more tough within the face of otherworldly risks.
“I’m thrilled ‘Terrestrial’ is escaping into the world,” mentioned Pink. “We made a movie about friendship, paranoia, ambition, and the very unhealthy human instinct to invite your friends into your home and then slowly lose your mind in front of them. Also, it’s funny. Which is either a selling point or a cry for help. Go see it!”
“Terrestrial” was produced by Josh Jason and Molly Gilula at Hurley/Pickle Productions, alongside Molly Conners at Phiphen, AJ Bourscheid and Austin Lantero at Vary Media Companions, and Chalamet, Rachel Walden and Luca Balser at Gummy Movies.
“We always knew ‘Terrestrial’ was a film meant to be experienced together, in the theater, with your friends. We are so fortunate to have found a partner in Aero who shares this belief. They want this film to be seen in theaters just as much as we do, and that means the world to us.”
The corporate was based with a transparent mission: to champion distinctive voices and distinctive style movies, and is dedicated to working with each established and first-time filmmakers, figuring out movies that push inventive boundaries, and discovering progressive methods to attach these movies with passionate audiences.
The deal was negotiated by Vary Choose.
