Sony Pictures Classics has acquired all rights in North and Latin America, Asia (besides Japan), New Zealand, Turkey, Portugal and worldwide airways to “Rehearsals for a Revolution,” which gained the most effective documentary prize at Cannes Film Festival, L’Oeil d’Or.
The movie, which premiered within the Particular Screenings part, is the deeply private debut function from Pegah Ahangarani.
Ahangarani sketches her life story by way of 5 portraits of kin and mentors. Drawing from private archives, house movies, road protests footage, newspapers and recorded voices, she retraces greater than 40 years of Iran’s historical past. The movie is written and directed by Ahangarani and edited by Arash Ashtiani, with co-writers Ehsan Abdipour, Amir Ahmadi Arian, Arash Ashtiani and Majed Neisi.
The producers are Kaveh Farnam for Czech Republic’s Media Nest and Adrià Monés for Spain’s Fasten Movies. The co-producers are Parnian Farnam, Ahangarani and Arash Ashtiani. Govt producers are Enric Bach and Sergi Moreno.
The deal was negotiated between Sony Footage Classics and The Celebration Movie Gross sales on behalf of the filmmakers.
