Only a week after it received the highest prize in Cannes’ Un Sure Regard competitors, “Everytime” has been acquired for North America.
1-2 Special, the New York indie distributor than was present in early 2025, has picked up Sandra Wollner‘s buzzy title, which landed crucial acclaim within the south of France.
That includes cinematography from “Aftersun” cinematographer Gregory Oke, the movie follows a mom, younger daughter and teenage boy who, united by tragedy, embark on a visit to the Canary Islands for a household vacation that by no means occurred. Beneath the glow of the coastal solar, previous and current start to quietly overlap.
“Everytime” is Wollner’s third function movie. Her debut, “The Impossible Picture,” was awarded Finest Movie by the German Movie Critics Affiliation Award and the Ingmar Bergman Worldwide Debut Award on the Göteborg Movie Pageant. Her second function, “The Trouble WIth Being Born,” premiered on the 2020 Berlinale the place it received the Particular Jury Prize in Encounters.

“Everytime” was produced by Lixi Frank and David Bohun of Panama Movie, alongside Viktoria Stolpe of The Barricades. It stars Birgit Minichmayr, identified for her work in Maren Ade’s “Everyone Else” and Michael Haneke’s “The White Ribbon.”
The deal was negotiated by Charades on behalf of the filmmakers with 1-2 Particular, which throughout Cannes purchased the Critics’ Week winner “La Gradiva.”
