Actor-producer Kelvin Harrison Jr. will be part of the jury and current the Golden Globes Prize for Documentary in Partnership With Artemis Rising Basis throughout the 79th version of the Cannes Film Festival.
Harrison Jr. shared a SAG Award with the solid of “The Trial of the Chicago 7.” His current and upcoming work contains voicing Taka in “Mufasa: The Lion King,” portraying Jean-Michel Basquiat in “Samo Lives” and starring in “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping,” coming to theaters this fall.

Returning to Cannes for its second 12 months, the prize honors a filmmaker whose work “demonstrates exceptional storytelling and a meaningful contribution to documentary filmmaking, particularly in addressing urgent global and social issues.”

It was awarded to Eugene Jarecki on the 78th Cannes Movie Competition, with a jury together with actor and producer Tessa Thompson, and Ross McElwee on the 82nd Venice Worldwide Movie Competition, with a jury together with Teo Yoo and Jharrel Jerome.
The total jury this 12 months contains Golden Globes president, Helen Hoehne; Academy Award-winning producer and founding father of Artemis Rising Basis, Regina Okay. Scully; Academy Award-winning producer and co-founder of Affect Companions, Geralyn White Dreyfous; and founder and CEO of Suppose-Movie Affect Manufacturing, Danielle Turkov Wilson.
