The 2026 BET Awards nominations have been revealed, with Cardi B main with six nods.
Kendrick Lamar and Mariah the Scientist every earned 5 nominations. Doechii, Doja Cat, Clipse, Teyana Taylor, Olivia Dean and Latto scored 4 mentions apiece. Triple nominees embody A$AP Rocky, Bruno Mars, Bryson Tiller, Chris Brown, Jill Scott, Kehlani, Metro Boomin, SZA, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, T.I. and YK Niece.
This 12 months, BET added two new classes: the Fashion Vanguard Award and the Pulse Award. The Vogue Vanguard Award “will recognize a global figure whose fashion presence has had long-standing cultural impact, has significantly influenced style narratives and continues to elevate fashion as a form of storytelling across music, film, sports, and public life,” BET stated as a part of Tuesday’s nominations announcement.
Cardi B is nominated for the Vogue Vanguard Award, greatest collaboration, greatest feminine hip hop artist, video director of the 12 months, album of the 12 months and viewers’ selection.
Kendrick Lamar and Mariah the Scientist will face off towards Cardi in one of the best collaboration and viewers’ selection classes, with Lamar scoring two nods for greatest collaboration. Moreover each Lamar and Mariah the Scientist are up for video of the 12 months, and Mariah is up for album of the 12 months. Lamar can also be up for greatest male hip hop artist, whereas Mariah is up for greatest feminine R&B/pop artist.
The Pulse Award is given to “a creator, campaign or content series that most powerfully moved Black culture forward in digital spaces by sparking conversation, building community and defining the moment online,” BET stated.
“All of our nominees represent the very best of Black culture across music, film, sports and beyond, and with the introduction of the Fashion Vanguard Award and the Pulse Award, we’re proud to honor even more of the ways our culture continues to show up and evolve,” BET government vp, specials, music programming and music technique, Connie Orlando, stated in an announcement.
The 2026 BET Awards are set to air reside on Sunday, June 28 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on BET and a lot of different Paramount networks together with BET HER, CMT, Emblem, MTV, MTV2, Nickelodeon, Paramount, Pop, VH1, Comedy Central and TV Land.
