Film Independent, the nonprofit group that produces the Spirit Awards, has teamed up with the Redford Middle to launch a brand new award named after the late indie movie champion Robert Redford.
The Robert Redford Environmental Imaginative and prescient Award goals to honor “narrative feature film and television works that address environmental issues through creativity and possibility.” The award will acknowledge “a singular work selected from qualifying American narrative television and film that intersect with environmental themes,” in response to Movie Unbiased.

The award shall be evaluated primarily based on thematic standards that replicate Movie Unbiased and the Spirit Awards’ mission, together with the award’s particular targets.
